Amazon Tap
Pros
- Decent battery life
- Alexa-enabled
- Convenient charging cradle
- Very portable
Cons
- May need to split duel band router into two signals
- Average audio quality
- Lacks bass
Bottom Line
The Amazon Tap Bluetooth Speaker may cause some issues with certain WIFI routers, but the Alexa-enabled device makes it pretty convenient.
The Amazon Tap Bluetooth speaker has received positive reviews for its portability, its 9 hours of music playback on a single charge and its Alexa-enabled cloud based voice service. Users also liked the charging cradle, which they thought of as fairly convenient and the speaker’s large range of capabilities. However, users found that the audio quality is average and that the speaker did lack bass. Some also found that the Tap did not automatically reconnect to their routers every time. The Amazon Tap may deliver rather average audio playback qualities, but all-in-all, it is a pretty convenient Bluetooth speaker with a great voice service.

The Amazon Tap is a competent mix of portable Bluetooth speaker and digital assistant. It's worth a look if you want Alexa on the go, but the Tap isn't the best Bluetooth speaker or the best Alexa-enabled device you can find.
