The Audioengine A5+ bookshelf speaker received positive reviews for its beautiful bamboo finish, its great frequency dispersion, and good overall sound, with its notable high end and tight low end. Their ability to play from USB was also praised, with users finding them to be quite versatile. However, although the bass was praised, they do roll off around 50Hz, meaning that those low notes some love were not quite there. The speakers also shuts down if exerted for too long, which is to prevent the internal components from overheating. Users did find this slightly annoying, however. The Audioengine A5+ offers a solid performance with a few minor drawbacks.
