Bottom Line

The Bose Companion 2 Series III offers decent overall sound with a strong bass for a 2.0 speaker system, but it may sound slightly tinny or like it has a reverb effect on for some.

The Bose Companion 2 Series III computer speakers received positive reviews for their strong bass and decent overall sound for their size, their overall loudness and their ability to not distort at loud volumes. Users thought that they function well as laptop speakers due to the fact that they are a small and powerful 2.0 system. Their were, however, some who found that the they sounded like they had a reverb effect on, meaning they could sound tinny. Others found that the aux cable is far too short. Some also pointed to the fact that the high end was a tad bit dull. All-in-all, the Bose Companion 2 Series III computer offer a decent performance for their size, but they may sound slightly tinny to some.
