However, some found that although it does have nice midrange detail, those same frequencies can sound overemphasized at times, needing the lows and treble frequencies slightly boosted with an EQ app from the music player in use. Some were also unhappy with the fact that it did not have a carrying case. The JBL Charge 3 reaches a solid volume, easily filling backyards, but it may requiring some bass and treble boosting to match up with the reportedly boosted midrange frequencies.
