The UE Roll 2 has received positive reviews for its full waterproof design, its great sound quality with its good bass response, its excellent Bluetooth connection and range, and its portability and lightweight build. However, some users found that they had issues with the on/off buttons, suggesting the placement was a little odd. It also does not have speakerphone capabilities. While the EU Roll 2 may not offer hands-free calling options, it is fully waterproofed (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) and it has great audio quality.

Overall, while this may not seem like much of an upgrade over the original, the UE Roll 2 is a better speaker and clearly one of the top mini Bluetooth speakers on the market.
